ELIGIBILITY FOR A FREE SIGHT TEST

PATIENTS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR A FREE SIGHT TEST WITH THE NHS IF THEY ARE -

- 60 or over

- Under 16 (Patients under 16 must be accompanied by an Adult, either a parent, carer or other person responsible for the patient who can sign on their behalf)

- 16,17 or 18 and in full-time education (Patients in this category only qualify if they are in full-time education, part-time education does not apply here. The name of the patients school, college or university must be supplied)

- Registered blind or partially sighted

- Suffering from Diabeties

- Suffering from Glaucoma 

- Considered to be at risk of Glaucoma by an Opthomologist

- 40 or over and are the parent/brother/sister or child of a glaucoma patient

- Prescribed complex lenses 

- Named on a valid HC2 certificate (patients must have the certificate with them on the day of the sight test)

OR IF THEY, OR THEIR PARTNER RECEIVE

- Income support

- Income Based Jobseekers Allowance

- Income-related Employment and Support Allowance

- Pension Credit 

- Tax Credit

WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED GLASSES?

We have a selection of frames that are available for free if you are in receipt of the following benefits Income Support, Income Based Jobseekers Allowance, Income-Related Employment Support Allowance, Pension Credit or Tax Credit. Any of these benefits will qualify you for a free pair of glasses from our selected range, with basic lenses included. Proof of benefit must be supplied*

PRIVATE PATIENTS

We welcome Private patients and outside prescriptions.

Students are eligible for 25% of their eye test - *A valid dated student card must be supplied.

We offer a wide selection of frames from our basic range through to our designer range.
